1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small data files placed on a browser or device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags and identifiers that can recognise a browser, record a preference or report an interaction.
2. Essential technologies
Essential technologies may be used to deliver pages, balance traffic, protect the site, prevent misuse and remember privacy choices. These are limited to functions necessary to operate the service.
3. Measurement
If analytics is enabled, measurement technologies may help us understand which pages are useful, how visitors arrive and where technical problems occur. Where required by law, non-essential measurement will be activated only after consent.
4. Advertising and Google
The Google AdSense publisher script is installed on Emigrated.org for site review and advertising. Once Google approves and activates advertising, Google and advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, frequency-cap, personalise and measure ads. Depending on consent, location and settings, advertising may be personalised or non-personalised. Google provides separate advertising and privacy controls.
5. Consent management
Before serving Google ads in regions where consent is required, Emigrated.org will use an appropriate Google-certified consent management platform. Visitors will be able to accept, reject or manage relevant advertising purposes. A custom visual banner alone is not treated as a substitute for a compliant consent platform.
6. Managing cookies
You can use the site’s consent controls when displayed and can also block or delete cookies in browser settings. Blocking essential storage can affect site operation. Changes made in one browser or device may not carry to another.
7. Current status
Emigrated.org has connected its AdSense publisher identifier and installed Google's publisher script. Advertising may not appear until Google completes its review and the required consent configuration is active. This policy will be updated if the live technology set changes.
