Mexico has direct local eSIM choices from Telcel and AT&T Go. Both can provide a Mexican number, but new-line identity linking rules make registration an important part of the purchase.
Choose Telcel Tourist eSIM or AT&T Go when a Mexican number matters. A global data eSIM can be easier for a brief trip, but it will not replace domestic voice and verification.

The network underneath
A provider name is not coverage.
Telcel, AT&T México and Movistar are the principal consumer networks. Coverage can differ significantly between major cities, highways, coastal resorts and less-populated inland areas.
Test the future home, daily road or Metro route, intercity journey and any coastal or rural area relevant to the planned move.
Start with the provider's exact network field, then compare it with the current official sources below. A coverage map is a prediction and cannot guarantee signal inside a future home.
Routing matters too.An international eSIM may send traffic through an overseas gateway. That can affect latency, IP-based services and where an app thinks you are even when the local radio signal is strong.
