Insure the real activities
Check medical limits, exclusions, pre-existing conditions, motorbike use and any planned hiking, diving or other activities.

30 to 15 days before
Resolve paperwork and appointments that cannot sensibly be left until departure week.
Check every medicine
Search using the active ingredient, not only the American brand name. Confirm quantity limits, original packaging, documentation and permits.
Book discovery appointments
Arrange school, hospital, coworking, banking or professional appointments that cannot be tested by simply walking in.
Build a neighbourhood route
Choose realistic home areas and plan weekday tests at different times instead of visiting only attractions.
Create a document pack
Keep secure digital and paper copies of passport details, insurance, prescriptions, bookings and emergency contacts.

Within three days of arrival
Complete the final official entry step only within the window set by Thai Immigration.
Submit the TDAC
Use the free official Thailand Digital Arrival Card site. The official FAQ says submission opens within three days before arrival, including the arrival date.
Check the data carefully
Have passport details, arrival information, Thai address, travel purpose, health declaration information and email ready.
Save the result
Download the TDAC document or QR code and keep a copy available offline. A paper backup can be useful if the device fails.
Recheck official notices
Review the Embassy, airline and Thai authority pages once more for changes that occurred after booking.

Test transport at the times you would really travel, including wet weather or peak traffic when possible.
Keep a daily cost log
Record ordinary meals, transport, groceries, mobile data and realistic housing costs separately from holiday spending.
Record deal-breakers
Note noise, heat, air quality, accessibility, isolation and administrative friction as carefully as the advantages.
Leave decisions reversible
Avoid long leases, major deposits or irreversible commitments until documents and professional questions have been checked.
