One of the most relevant interim wallets for a foreign arrival because T2P advertises passport registration, international card top-ups and PromptPay QR payments without a Thai bank account.
Who it suits
T2P markets DeepPocket to travellers, digital nomads and expats. Its current material says users can sign up with a passport and do not need a Thai bank account. Confirm the app's current country, phone-number and identity requirements before funding it.
Safer setup sequence
Download the official DeepPocket app and select the foreign-user registration route.
Complete passport and identity checks in the app.
Add only a modest first top-up and confirm the fee and exchange rate before approving it.
Test one low-value PromptPay QR payment, then check the merchant name and receipt.
T2P advertises international credit-card top-ups, Thai banking channels and cash top-ups through supported agents. A 3.5% card top-up promotion ended on 30 June 2026; T2P says affected accounts returned to the standard 4.5% fee from 1 July. Inspect the current fee and exchange rate in the app before confirming.
The provider advertises PromptPay QR payments nationwide and a DeepPocket Visa prepaid card. It also publishes Google Pay support for the prepaid card on compatible Android devices.
T2P's published service-limits page lists a THB 300,000 maximum balance and separate monthly limits by top-up and transaction type. Limits can depend on verification status and may be amended.

Use during arrival
Use DeepPocket as a bridge, not as the sole place for relocation funds. Keep cash and a foreign card available, test the wallet with a small amount, and move routine payments to your Thai bank's app once the account is operating reliably.
