Yodl
QR payments abroad.
Four live marketsA compelling route for someone who already holds stablecoins and needs to pay ordinary local QR recipients in its four advertised markets. It is not a Thai PromptPay solution today.
Where it fits
Self custody stablecoin wallet
Advertised coverage
Argentina (Mercado Pago / Transferencias 3.0), Brazil (Pix), Philippines (QR Ph, GCash, Maya), Vietnam (VietQR, MoMo). India, Switzerland and Thailand are labelled coming soon.
01How it works
Create a self custody wallet, fund it with supported stablecoins, scan a supported local QR, inspect the quote and approve. Independent payment partners convert and settle to the local recipient; the merchant does not need to accept crypto.
02Cost to check
Yodl advertises no Yodl fee, but its terms say conversion, swap, partner fees or spreads may appear in the quote. Compare the recipient amount and total stablecoins against a card or other wallet before paying.
03Important limit
Yodl is a technology provider, not a bank or the local settlement provider. Partner verification and limits can differ. Wallet recovery is the user's responsibility; failed local payouts and refunds are handled under partner terms. Its claim to beat card exchange rates is marketing, not an independently verified universal result.
Before you rely on it
Check the live route
Check the exact QR network and recipient, quote expiry, asset/network, partner terms and recovery method. Keep a card and cash as backups and test with a small payment first.
