Some travel apps convert stablecoins or card-funded balances into a merchant's local currency. The supported country, QR network and your eligibility decide whether a scan will work.

A QR payment network is different from a crypto QR address. The services below aim to pay an existing local Pix, VietQR, QR Ph or similar recipient, usually through a local payout partner. They are not interchangeable with a card or a bank transfer.
New entries and selected service notices were checked on 5 October 2026; earlier reviews retain their original research date. These are provider claims, not hands-on tests or endorsements. A marketed country can still exclude your account, QR type or merchant. Keep cash and an independent card available.

A compelling route for someone who already holds stablecoins and needs to pay ordinary local QR recipients in its four advertised markets. It is not a Thai PromptPay solution today.

Thailand-specific option
DeepPocket has its own detailed review in our Thailand wallet guide. Unlike a multi-country QR app, it is a Thai wallet that T2P advertises for PromptPay payments without a Thai bank account. International credit-card top-ups are available, but T2P's published standard charge is 4.5% from July 2026. Compare that total cost with your other payment options.
We include cross-border consumer apps above where primary documentation supports the service. This is a researched directory, not a claim to have found every provider worldwide. The services' own status pages control live availability. More Thai mobile wallets and PromptPay alternatives are covered in the separate country guide.
